The Federal Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with APM Terminals for the development of the proposed Badagry Deep Seaport in Lagos State.
The Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, Dr Abubakar Dantsoho, accompanied the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, as part of the Federal Government delegation to Denmark for the signing.
The agreement is expected to strengthen Nigeria’s maritime cooperation with international investors and attract additional investment into the country’s port infrastructure.
The partnership also marks a further step towards developing the Badagry corridor as a major maritime and logistics hub, with the potential to expand Nigeria’s port capacity and support trade.
The Federal Government said the MoU would further deepen collaboration with APM Terminals and advance investment in the nation’s maritime infrastructure.
