A lady has shared a troubling account of how what was supposed to be a memorable marriage proposal reportedly turned into a confrontation after her boyfriend asked her to leave their hotel and prepare food for him and his six friends.

According to the woman, her boyfriend proposed to her earlier that day but later complained that food at the hotel was too expensive. He subsequently asked her to return home at about 7 p.m. to prepare food, including fufu from scratch, for seven people.

The lady said she tried to explain that the journey and cooking would be stressful considering the time.

She recalled, “I tried to let him understand how late it was and how stressful it would be for me, but he said I shouldn’t disgrace him in the presence of his friends…”

Lady says fiancé questioned her suitability for marriage

She eventually left the hotel around 8 p.m. and returned about three hours later. While she prepared her fiancé’s fufu herself, she said she bought fufu for his friends.

According to her, this triggered another disagreement, with her fiancé questioning why she had failed to follow his instructions.

The confrontation escalated, and the woman admitted pouring hot soup on him before packing her belongings and leaving the hotel.

She also revealed that she had purchased the engagement ring herself, saying, “I wanted to throw the ring at him but couldn’t because it was gold and I bought it myself…”

Lady alleges ex-fiancé later threatened and stalked her

The woman claimed the situation continued the following day when the man arrived at her residence and threatened her. She said her brother was present at the time.

She further alleged that the man’s mother encouraged her to remain patient and submit to him despite previous complaints about the relationship.

Weeks later, she returned to his home with her brother to retrieve belongings she said she had purchased. She eventually moved away from her residence, alleging that the man continued to stalk her.
