Driver allegedly tricks truck owner, collects N200k for repairs and vanishes

A Nigerian man has shared how a truck driver allegedly deceived his employer into sending him N200,000 for repairs before reportedly disappearing with the money.
The story was shared by @mikeliberation, who narrated the incident involving a truck owner and his driver.
According to him, the truck owner, described as a Yahoo boy from his village, had purchased the vehicle for N15 million to be used for transporting sand.
Truck Owner Hires Driver
@Mikeliberation said the owner employed a driver and agreed to pay him N75,000 monthly.
The driver reportedly worked with the truck for more than a year before a disagreement arose between them.
According to the account, the truck owner stopped paying the driver’s salary for two months because he claimed the driver had not gone on trips during the period.
The driver reportedly explained that the situation was caused by the heavy rains, which had affected the availability of work.
However, the owner allegedly refused to pay him despite the explanation.
Driver Reports Truck Breakdown
Late last month, the driver reportedly travelled to another state with the truck for a trip.
While on the journey, he contacted the owner and claimed that the truck had broken down on the road.
He allegedly told the owner that a mechanic had inspected the vehicle and estimated that N200,000 would be required to fix it.
According to @mikeliberation, the truck owner immediately transferred the N200,000 to the driver for the repairs.
Driver Allegedly Disappears With N200k
The driver eventually returned from the trip and parked the truck, according to the account.
However, he allegedly disappeared with the N200,000 he had received for the repairs.
