2027: APC Vows Grassroots Mobilisation For Women In South-East

The Director of Women Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Betta Edu, has pledged to lead a grassroots mobilisation campaign across the South-East ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Edu made the pledge in Owerri, Imo State, during the flag-off of the distribution of empowerment items to women across the South-East geopolitical zone, saying the campaign would take the message of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope administration directly to women across the region once it is fully activated.

“We are coming back. Once the campaign is fully activated, we will return to the South-East, and we will take the message of hope from the Mother of the Nation to every woman,” Edu said.

She said the mobilisation would involve extensive grassroots engagement, including visits to homes, markets, businesses, villages and communities across the region.

“We will go door-to-door, household-to-household, market-to-market, shop-to-shop, village-to-village and community-to-community. We will sit with our women, listen to them, explain what the Renewed Hope administration is doing and assure them that the South-East has a place in the Nigeria we are building,” she said.

Edu expressed confidence that women in the region would support Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, arguing that they would remember the administration’s engagement and support for them.

“Women remember those who stand with them. Our women will reciprocate this gesture through their votes and mobilisation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027,” she said.
