Manchester United are close to a full agreement with Brighton to sign Carlos Baleba.

Baleba will sign a five-year contract with the Red Devils, after his medical tests and the transfer is finalised.

According to Sky Sports, the final fee and structure is not yet fully agreed, but it is expected to be in excess of £60m.

The player is understood to be preparing to travel to Manchester.

United have been interested in Baleba since last year and made an inquiry about signing him in the January transfer window.

He has remained one of their top targets this summer and becomes their third addition in midfield after Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans.
