Pregnant wife reportedly followed husband to apologise to his side chic, marriage still ends

A Nigerian woman has shared the story of a pregnant woman who reportedly apologised to her husband’s alleged side chic in a bid to save her marriage, only for the relationship to eventually end.

The story was shared by Facebook user Martin Beck Nworah, who expressed disbelief over the situation and questioned the experiences of some married women.

Husband Misses Birthday Celebration

Nworah said the woman had prepared a birthday cake and drinks for her husband and invited neighbours to celebrate with them.

However, the man did not return home early enough, and the neighbours eventually went back to their apartments.

He later arrived around 11:30 p.m. and went to take a shower.

Wife Answers Side Chic’s Call

While he was in the bathroom, the man’s alleged side chic repeatedly called his phone.

Nworah said the wife, who knew the woman, answered the call and questioned why she was contacting her husband after allegedly spending most of the day with him.

A verbal argument reportedly followed, and the husband became upset after hearing the conversation. He subsequently left the house for the night.

Pregnant Wife Apologises to Side Chick

The man reportedly returned the following day but refused to eat the meal his wife prepared unless she agreed to accompany him to the side chic’s workplace and apologise.

The woman, who was pregnant at the time, reportedly agreed in an attempt to preserve her marriage and avoid stress that could affect her health.

She followed her husband to the woman’s workplace and apologised.

Marriage Still Ends

Despite her efforts, the marriage eventually ended.

Nworah said the woman decided to focus on raising her children and moved on with her life.

He added that her former husband is now reportedly seeking to return to the marriage.

Reacting to the story, Nworah wrote:

“At this point, it feels like telling anybody, ‘Happy Married Life’ is a threat because happiness may turn to patience and endurance. I have never seen this type of thing before. What happened?

“On her husband’s birthday, she prepared birthday cake and drinks and invited neighbours while they waited for his return.

“After waiting, the neighbours returned to their respective apartments as the man didn’t return early enough.

“He arrived home later around 11:30 PM and went to shower.

“During this time, his sidechick repeatedly called his phone. The wife answered the call because she knows the lady and with tears in her voice, questioned why the sidechick was reaching out after spending most of the day with her husband, and a verbal altercation ensued over the phone.

“Upon hearing the argument, the husband rushed out of the bathroom and was not happy she picked the call. He left the residence for the night.

“When he returned home the following day, he refused to eat the meal she prepared unless she agreed to go to the sidechick’s workplace and apologise to her.

“Pregnant at the time and seeking to preserve the marriage and avoid health complications, she followed her husband to the woman’s workplace to issue the apology.

“The marriage still ended.

“She decided to take care of her kids and never looked back.

“Now the man wants to come back to the marriage.”
