“These are just a few” — Man lists luxury cars, jets, mansions linked to Nigerian pastors

A social media user has sparked a fresh debate over the wealth and lifestyles of some prominent Nigerian pastors, questioning the contrast between their public teachings on modest living and reports of their luxurious possessions and projects.
In a post making the rounds online, the man listed several high-profile religious leaders, including Pastor Jerry Eze, Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, Pastor William Kumuyi and Pastor Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin.
He referenced reported earnings, large church projects, luxury vehicles, private jets and commercial ventures while questioning whether such lifestyles align with messages about earthly possessions being temporary.
Claims spark debate online
The social media user highlighted claims that Jerry Eze is among Nigeria’s highest-earning YouTube creators and that Oyedepo is overseeing a major auditorium project.
He also referenced Chris Oyakhilome’s reported interest in the automotive industry, Adeboye’s wealth, Ibiyeomie’s collection of luxury cars and Kumuyi’s past appearance in a limousine.
The post further mentioned products associated with Pastor Jeremiah’s ministry, as well as major church projects linked to other prominent pastors.
The man said, “But same leaders will advise the congregations to live a modest life, for all is vanity. Your reward is in heavennnnnn.”
Nigerians question the contrast
The comments have reignited wider conversations about prosperity, wealth and accountability within Nigeria’s Christian ministry space.
The claims made in the post cover different periods and are not independently verified in their entirety. However, the discussion reflects an ongoing public interest in the lifestyles and financial activities of prominent religious leaders.
The debate has also raised questions about whether religious leaders should be judged by their personal possessions or by the work and charitable activities carried out through their ministries.
