Moses Olubo motorcycle journey…

Former Nigerian squash number one, Moses Olubo, is set to arrive in the country after completing an extraordinary motorcycle journey that has taken him across three continents and through some of the world’s most challenging routes.
Olubo made the journey aboard a Can-Am Spyder, travelling from the United States through Canada, Iceland, Scandinavia and Western Europe before making his way across the Sahara and the rugged Fouta Jallon Highlands towards Nigeria.
The former squash star is expected to receive a warm reception from friends, sports enthusiasts and supporters at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, where a meet and greet has been scheduled for 2pm on Wednesday, August 26.

Organisers have described Olubo as a “three-continent adventurer,” a tag that reflects the scale of the expedition and the endurance required to complete the long-distance ride.
His arrival time has remained difficult to predict because of challenges encountered, while travelling through Ghana on a motorcycle that is reportedly not registered under the ECOWAS system.
As of Tuesday, Olubo was said to be working to complete his exit from Ghana, with the final leg to Lagos expected to be less demanding.
The adventure has generated excitement among his friends and admirers, who are urging Nigerians, particularly members of the sporting community, to turn out at the National Stadium to welcome the former squash No.1 home.
The homecoming will also provide an opportunity for sports lovers to reconnect with Olubo and celebrate a remarkable expedition that has brought together sport, endurance and exploration on an unprecedented scale.
Organisers have apologised for the short notice, explaining that the unpredictable nature of the journey made it difficult to confirm Olubo’s exact arrival time in advance.
Olubo’s return is expected to be marked by a memorable reception as friends, supporters and members of the sporting community gather to celebrate the squash legend and the completion of his extraordinary cross-continental adventure.
