Poco Lee’s Management Urges Restraint Over Rape Allegations

The management of Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee has urged the public and media to exercise restraint in discussing rape allegations against the entertainer, as the matter is currently before the courts in the United Kingdom.

In a statement dated August 25, 2026, Poco Lee’s management said, “As this matter is now subject to legal proceedings, we urge the public, media, and all well-meaning individuals to exercise restraint in commenting on the details of the case.”

The management stressed that the allegations against its client should not be interpreted as proof of guilt, adding that “allegations are not evidence of guilt, and no conclusions should be drawn until the matter has been heard and determined through the appropriate legal process.”

It also expressed concern over what it described as the circulation of “unverified narratives” surrounding the case.

“We are particularly concerned by the volume of unverified narratives currently circulating, including claims referencing ‘drink spiking,’ amongst other allegations which do not form part any of the allegations or charges before the court,” the statement said.

The management urged the media and members of the public to refrain from introducing claims that are not contained in the case before the court, warning that such reports could contribute to misinformation and unfairly prejudice the parties involved.

“We ask the public and media to desist from introducing details that are not part of the actual case, as doing so only fuels misinformation and causes unfair prejudice to all parties involved,” it said.

The statement further emphasised Poco Lee’s right to due process, noting that “every individual is entitled to a fair hearing and to have their matter determined by due process of law, not by public opinion.”

It added: “We respectfully request that this right be respected in this instance, as it would be for anyone else.”

The management said it would provide updates through official channels when appropriate and thanked the public for their understanding and restraint.

TVC News earlier reported that a UK court had fixed September 15, 2026, for Poco Lee’s hearing in connection with the ongoing case. The date is expected to provide the next formal opportunity for the matter to come before the court as the legal process continues.
