N-Power Beneficiaries Endorse Atiku – The Trumpet Newspaper Nigeria

A group of N-Power beneficiaries has endorsed former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar as its preferred presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections, accusing President the Tinubu administration of failing to listen to their concerns over years of hardship and unpaid stipends.

The beneficiaries announced their decision after meeting with the former vice president in his Asokoro residence in Abuja, on Saturday.

According to the beneficiaries, their decision to declare support for Atiku came after three days of consultations and engagements with relevant stakeholders in Abuja.

In a statement released on Saturday, the group said it has resolved to support the candidacy of Atiku, describing him as its preferred choice ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

“After almost three days in Abuja, filled with extensive consultations and relevant stakeholder engagements, this afternoon, we finally endorsed the candidacy of Atiku Abubakar, as our preferred presidential candidate for the 2027 election,” the group said.

The beneficiaries expressed dissatisfaction over what they described as the federal government’s reluctance to listen to their complaints and address the prolonged hardship faced by N-Power participants, particularly issues surrounding the non-payment of their stipends.

According to the group, many beneficiaries have endured difficult economic conditions following delays and the alleged failure to settle outstanding payments owed to participants under the federal government’s social intervention programme.

They argued that their experience under the current administration has influenced their decision to seek political change in 2027.

The group called on its members and other Nigerians to support Atiku’s presidential ambition, expressing optimism that a new administration could bring renewed attention to youth empowerment, employment and social intervention programmes.

“Together, let’s make Nigeria great again,” the beneficiaries said.

The N-Power programme was established to provide young Nigerians with skills development, work experience and financial support as part of efforts to tackle unemployment and improve livelihoods.

The endorsement adds to the growing political activities and alignments expected to intensify ahead of the 2027 general election.
