“I had to cut my hair” – Lady shares boyfriend’s unusual request ahead of wedding, sparks reactions

A Nigerian lady has shared her emotional experience after cutting off her hair at her boyfriend’s request, following his suggestion that she reduce her hair expenses as they save for their upcoming marriage.

In a video shared on TikTok by a user identified as @amjustagirl794, she explained that she initially felt overwhelmed because she loves making her hair and enjoys different hairstyles. However, she eventually decided to give the new look a chance.

In her words, she said:

“My man asked me to cut my hair because he feels we’re spending too much on my hair, and we are trying to save for our marriage because we’ll be getting married soon. I feel so overwhelmed because I was like, ‘Cut my hair?’ I’m always obsessed with making my hair, but I gave it a second thought. Anything for my man.”

She revealed that she felt sad about cutting her hair and even cried, but later discovered that she actually liked the new look.

The lady added that she does not want her boyfriend to spend excessively on her while they prepare for their marriage, saying she is willing to make sacrifices for their future.

“So I just think, maybe let me just give it a try, and I actually love it. I like it, and I can’t wait for us to get married. And I don’t even want him to start spending much on me like that because of our marriage,” she added.

Her decision has generated reactions online, with some people praising her willingness to make a personal sacrifice for their relationship.

Others, however, questioned whether cutting her hair was necessary, but the lady appears happy with her new look and excited about getting married soon.
