Dapo Abiodun, Fashola, Others Attend Funeral Service For Kemi Adeosun’s Husband

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun on Thursday joined family members, friends and dignitaries at the funeral service of Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun, husband of former Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun. The service was held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola and former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi were among other prominent Nigerians who attended the service. Abiodun was accompanied by his wife, Bamidele.

Anthony Adeosun died in Lagos on August 5, 2026, at the age of 62. His family described him as a distinguished businessman and devoted Christian whose life was marked by integrity, generosity, faith and commitment to his family and community.

Abiodun had earlier visited Kemi Adeosun and her family to offer his condolences following the death. He described the late businessman as a devoted Christian and family man and prayed for comfort and strength for the bereaved family.

The funeral service followed a night of tributes held on Wednesday at Harbour Point Event Centre in Victoria Island. Anthony Adeosun is survived by his wife, Kemi Adeosun, their children and other family members.
