Crest Africa has unveiled its list of the Top 50 African Entrepreneurs Defining the Continent’s Future in 2026, recognising business founders and innovators contributing to economic growth, job creation and development across the continent.

The list, released on August 11, 2026, highlights entrepreneurs whose businesses are addressing challenges and creating opportunities across sectors including technology, healthcare, agriculture, education, artificial intelligence, climate innovation, real estate, cybersecurity, logistics, media and fashion.

According to Crest Africa, the recognition is part of its efforts to promote African excellence and spotlight entrepreneurs whose businesses are making measurable contributions to society and the economy.

The platform said the 2026 list builds on its previous recognition programmes, including Leaders Shaping Africa 2025, Top 50 Voices in African Tech 2025 and Power 100: The UK’s Most Influential African Entrepreneurs.

Among this year’s honourees is Uzoma Onwudinjo, Founder and Executive Director of the Global Centre for Executive Excellence and Founder of Iconium Consulting Agency.

Crest Africa said Onwudinjo’s work in executive education and institutional development has contributed to the professional development of more than 1,000 executives, including ministers, federal commissioners, legislators, senior public sector officials and heads of courts.

Her executive programmes have also been delivered across countries including the United Kingdom, France, Morocco, Rwanda and the United Arab Emirates.

Another honouree, Margaret Obasi, is the Founder and CEO of Maziza, a Nigerian food manufacturing company focused on transforming indigenous African crops into functional foods targeting diabetes and other non-communicable diseases.

Obasi, a clinical nutritionist and former Nestlé executive, combines nutrition science, food innovation and sustainable manufacturing with agricultural value addition, while supporting opportunities for local producers.

The technology sector is represented by Samuel Aleonomoh, Founder and CEO of RolepilotAI, an AI-powered career platform focused on digital skills development, career readiness and access to employment opportunities for African professionals.

In healthcare, Sampson Agboola, Founder and CEO of imisi HealthCARE LTD, was recognised for developing AI-driven healthcare infrastructure aimed at helping governments, insurers, healthcare providers and employers deliver more connected and data-driven services.

The company has also co-created Confam Health, an NHIA-compliant micro health insurance product aimed at expanding affordable healthcare coverage for underserved Nigerians.

The creative economy is represented by Rhoda Ogbeide, Founder of Lhaude Africa, which supports creative entrepreneurs through education, community building and global trade.

According to Crest Africa, Ogbeide’s work has also involved intercultural trade projects connecting Nigerian businesses with markets in China, the United States and India.

The platform said the full list reflects the diversity of entrepreneurship across Africa, with honourees building businesses in fields ranging from artificial intelligence and agriculture to healthcare, cybersecurity, logistics, professional services and media.

Crest Africa said the recognition goes beyond commercial success, highlighting entrepreneurs who are creating jobs, solving real-world problems, strengthening local industries and expanding access to essential services.

It added that the initiative is also aimed at increasing the visibility of African entrepreneurs and encouraging collaboration while inspiring the next generation of founders.
