All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart and Lagos4Lagos Movement leader, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has pledged the support of his political structure for the APC and its candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Jandor made the commitment after leading about 300 members of the group to the campaign office of Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Director-General of the campaign organisation of the APC’s Lagos governorship candidate, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, in Ikeja.

He explained that his decision to withdraw from the APC governorship primary was out of respect for President Bola Tinubu and the party’s leadership. He also noted that Lagos4Lagos supported the APC during the last local government elections despite not fielding candidates.

According to Jandor, the group is already working towards establishing a strong grassroots presence, with plans to have two representatives in each of Lagos State’s more than 13,000 polling units.

He identified the presidential election as the group’s major priority, stressing that Tinubu must reclaim Lagos in 2027 after losing the state in the 2023 presidential election.

Jandor said Lagos4Lagos would mobilise across the state to help the APC regain its presidential votes, describing the 2023 outcome as something that must not be repeated.

Speaking earlier, Obanikoro urged Lagos4Lagos members to integrate into the party’s ward and local government structures. He identified voter turnout as one of the factors that affected the APC’s performance in 2023 and called on supporters to come out in large numbers in 2027.

Obanikoro also described Hamzat as a highly qualified candidate, arguing that his experience as Lagos Deputy Governor had prepared him to lead the state.

He called on APC members to work together to secure victory for both President Tinubu and Obafemi Hamzat in the 2027 elections.
