The sister of popular financial adviser and content creator GehGeh has opened up about why she and other members of their family were absent from his alleged secret wedding, claiming none of them received an invitation.
Speaking in a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she alleged that GehGeh deliberately excluded his family from the ceremony because they were not “aesthetically pleasing.”
According to her, their mother has eight children, yet none of them was invited to witness the wedding.
In her words, she said:
“GehGeh didn’t invite us. They said we are not aesthetically pleasing. GehGeh didn’t invite anybody in the family. My mother has 8 children, and none of us were invited for his wedding.”
She further lamented that money now seems to determine the level of respect people receive, even within their own families.
According to her, the incident made her realise that financial status often dictates how relatives are treated, alleging that she was ignored because she is not wealthy.
“Now I’ve realized that to be a member of your own family, you need to have money. For anyone to show you respect, you need money. As I don’t have money, my brother GehGeh didn’t invite me for his wedding.”
Her claims have since sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many Nigerians expressing differing opinions over the alleged family fallout, while others questioned the circumstances surrounding the reported exclusion.
