NAWOJ election: Chizoba Ogbeche, Rabi Mohammed allegedly disqualified from race

Ahead of the election for the position of National Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, two key aspirants have been disqualified.
The electoral committee for the election, scheduled to take place in Kano, announced in a statement on Saturday that Chizoba Ogbeche and Rabi Mohammed, the incumbent Vice President of Zone D (North Central) and Vice President of Zone A, respectively, had been disqualified.
According to the committee, Ogbeche was disqualified for failing to meet the constitutional requirement relating to attendance at congresses at her chapter level.
The disqualification of Ogbeche and Mohammed may pave the way for Aisha Ibrahim, the incumbent NAWOJ president, to potentially return unopposed.
