2027: Peace will deliver Rivers for Tinubu – Akpabio

The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has said the peace and unity currently being witnessed in Rivers State will help secure victory for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Akpabio said the cooperation among political leaders and stakeholders in the state had created the conditions needed for the All Progressives Congress, APC, to deliver Rivers votes for Tinubu.
He spoke on Saturday at the Rivers State Rainbow Coalition rally held at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
According to a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Jackson Udom, Akpabio expressed confidence that the South-South region would support Tinubu’s re-election bid.
“The ingredient needed in this zone, particularly Rivers State, to return you to the Villa on January 16, 2027, is peace. There is total peace in Rivers State, and with the unity among political leaders and stakeholders, Mr President will be delivered.”
“Rivers was the only state in the South-South that voted for the APC in 2023, and we are confident that the people will once again support President Tinubu in 2027,” Akpabio stated.
