Troops recover four rustled cows in Plateau

Four cows suspected to have been rustled by Berom militiamen along Shen Road in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State have been recovered by troops of Operation Safe Haven.
Zagazola Makama, a security analyst, said in a post on X on Thursday that the cows were recovered at about 10:30 am on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
According to him, “Sources said one of the four cows was confirmed dead, while efforts have been intensified to trace the remaining stolen animals from the criminals.”
He explained that the search operation was being led by the Commander, Sub-Sector 12, Lamingo, with troops continuing to comb the area.
He added that further details would be provided as the operation progresses.
