Real Madrid demand resignation of LaLiga president

Real Madrid have called for the resignation of Javier Tebas as LaLiga president.
This follows remarks made by Tebas, in which he compared Madrid’s methods with those used by Nazi propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels.
Tebas also alleged that some journalists were the “official mouthpiece” of the club used to air opinions and grievances.
“That method recalls propaganda mechanisms exploited by Goebbels, Nazi Germany’s Minister of Propaganda: systematic repetition, construction of an enemy, and subordination of facts to the narrative,” he wrote on social media.
In response, Real Madrid released a lengthy statement, in which they described Tebas’ comments as “deeply offensive” and “morally repugnant”.
“His constant attacks on Real Madrid and those who demand transparency and regeneration constitute, in the opinion of our club, a real scourge for Spanish football.
“Consequently, Real Madrid C. F. demands his immediate resignation as president of LaLiga and vice president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation.”
