Peller Announces Plan To Host Nobel Laureate Soyinka On His Livestream

Popular Nigerian streamer and content creator Habeeb Hamzat, known as Peller, says he intends to host Nobel laureate Professor Wole Soyinka on his livestream.
Peller made the announcement during a stream on Tuesday, promising fans a session heavy on “proper English.” He said more details would follow.
“I want to do a stream with Mr. Wole Soyinka. I will announce it soon and tell you guys what the plan is. It will be a proper English day on that day. You will hear some ‘grammar’ that day,” he said.
The planned pairing has drawn attention online because of the sharp contrast between the two men. Peller is known for a casual, humorous streaming style, with spontaneous chats and appearances by celebrities and other creators. Soyinka is one of Africa’s most celebrated writers, a playwright, poet and novelist who became the first African to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1986.
Peller gave no date for the proposed session, and it is not yet clear whether Soyinka has accepted the invitation.
