Paramilitary recruitment: CDCFIB announces next stage, what applicants must do next

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, CDCFIB, has announced the next stage for candidates in the ongoing paramilitary recruitment exercise.
The board said its recruitment portal will reopen from October 28 to November 13, 2026, for candidates who have reached the advanced stages of the exercise.
Secretary to the board, A.M. Jibril, disclosed this on Thursday in Abuja after the board’s meeting.
According to him, the portal reopening is not for fresh applications but for candidates who have completed medical screening, oral interviews and other assessments.
“What applicants must do:
“Log in to the official recruitment portal: recruitment.cdcfib.org within the stipulated date to check their recruitment status.
“Obtain a code for mandatory drug screening from the portal.
“Proceed to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, office in their respective states for a drug test.
“Present certificate of clearance from illegal drugs before collecting appointment letter in Abuja,” he said.
According to him, candidates who passed the drug screening will converge in Abuja to collect their appointment letters.
He stressed that the drug test is free, as the Federal Government will bear the cost, and warned applicants not to pay anyone. Candidates asked to pay should report to the nearest security agency.
