The Speaker of the Yobe State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chiroma Buba Mashio, has reaffirmed the commitment of the House to ensuring transparency and accountability in the financial transactions of the state.
Mashio gave the assurance while declaring the opening of a session of the House Committee on Public Accounts on the 2025 audit reports of the state and local governments, held at the Conference Hall of the Assembly.
The Speaker called on ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) as well as local governments queried in the 2025 audit reports to appear before the Committee to provide accurate information and required financial records for a comprehensive and credible review of the accounts.
