Players of Algerian side, MC Alger, have held a crisis meeting ahead of their CAF Champions League clash with Rangers, DAILY POST reports.

MC Alger suffered a 2-0 defeat to Rangers in the first leg of the second preliminary round tie at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta on Saturday.

The return leg is billed for Algiers on Friday, 23 October.

MC Alger are targeting a win by a margin of at least three goals to secure qualification to the group stage.

The meeting came after a separate session with the club’s management aimed at motivating the squad for the return leg.

Management charged the players to play the second leg with all their might to avoid paying for the loss suffered in the first leg in Abeokuta.
