Ballon d’Or 2026: ‘No chance’ – Graeme Souness names player that won’t win award

Liverpool legend Graeme Souness has revealed that Arsenal’s Declan Rice won’t win the Ballon d’Or this year.
The winner of the Ballon d’Or will be announced next Monday in London.
Rice was among the 30 players shortlisted for the Ballon d’Or after his impressive display for both club and country last season.
“Rodri did it [won the Ballon d’Or], Modric won it, so you know.
“Declan Rice has no chance of winning the Ballon d’Or. He’s making the numbers up,” Souness said, as per Sports Uncensored.
Rice joined Arsenal from West Ham United in 2023 and has been a regular first-team player under manager Mikel Arteta.
The England international won the Premier League title with the Gunners last season.
