ARMED MEN REPORTEDLY SIGHTED ON MOTORBIKES NEAR ANYIGBA–KABBA FORESTS

SECURITY ALERT: KOGI STATE, NIGERIA — WITH POSSIBLE MOVEMENT TOWARD KWARA AND THE SOUTHWEST

Multiple sightings of suspected armed men travelling on motorcycles were reported in forest areas along the Niger–Kwara–Kogi axis on October 19, according to intelligence information received by TruthNigeria through military contacts.

The sightings reportedly involved a combined estimate of 30–50 motorcycles, generally carrying two men each and occupants armed with AK-47 rifles. The last reported sighting was at approximately 9 p.m. on October 19. The Anyigba–Kabba forest area was identified in the reports, but the precise locations of individual sightings and the groups’ current positions remain unconfirmed.

The reported direction of travel has raised concerns about possible movement toward Kwara and onward to southwestern Nigeria. 

However, the intended destination remains unknown, and the men have not been identified as members of any specific terrorist organization. It is also unclear whether the separate sightings involved distinct groups or repeated observations of the same individuals.

SECURITY ADVISORY AND SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS

Residents and motorists should remain vigilant, avoid unnecessary travel through isolated forest routes where credible threats exist, and check with security authorities before travelling through affected areas. Do not approach or confront armed men. Report credible sightings promptly through safe, verified channels and follow official security instructions.
