A routine mobile money transaction has turned tense after a lady got into a heated argument with a vendor over a delayed withdrawal of GH₵300, a disagreement that escalated to the point where she reportedly pulled out a knife, ending up injured in the process.
According to reports, the dispute began after the vendor asked the lady to wait a little longer, explaining that he had not yet received confirmation of the transaction from her Telecel account, an issue he attributed to a network challenge on the day.
Rather than waiting patiently, the lady reportedly grew increasingly agitated, insisting on receiving her money immediately.
In the video making rounds online, onlookers can be seen gathered around, several of them trying to calm her down and urging her to relax as the situation unfolded. Despite their efforts, she remained visibly upset and continued to express her frustration.
At the height of the confrontation, she reportedly pulled a knife from her bag, and in the process, ended up cutting herself.
The commotion drew the attention of several bystanders at the scene, many of whom watched anxiously as the situation played out.
Fortunately, the matter was eventually resolved, with the vendor receiving his money once the transaction confirmation went through.
The incident has since sparked conversation online about network-related delays in mobile money transactions and the importance of patience when dealing with such hitches, which remain a common frustration for many users across the country.
