Gospel ministry plans Gombe crusade, offers free medical care

The FOTIA Network International, led by Evangelist Emeka Ezera, has announced plans to hold a four-day miracle crusade in Gombe State, with over 80,000 people expected to attend.

The programme, scheduled for September 24 to 27, will feature gospel preaching, free medical services and the distribution of clothes to children and adults.

Speaking ahead of the crusade, Ezera said the decision to take the programme to Gombe was driven by his desire to reach more people with the gospel and offer practical support to those in need.

“For me, the question is not really, ‘Why Gombe?’ but ‘Why not Gombe?’” he said.

Ezera said his experience with gospel crusades across Northern Nigeria had convinced him that many people in the region were eager to hear the gospel and find hope.

“Gombe is a state with a beautiful people, and I believe this is the right time to come. We are not coming simply to hold a large gathering or count the number of people who attend.

“We are coming because we believe the Gospel is for everyone, and that every person deserves an opportunity to hear the message of Jesus Christ,” he said.

The evangelist said the initiative would go beyond preaching, noting that the church had a responsibility to respond to the physical and spiritual needs of people.

“I believe the Church must be concerned about both the spiritual and practical needs of people. If someone needs to hear about Jesus, we should be there. If someone is sick and cannot afford medical care, we should be there. If someone needs clothing, we should be willing to help,” Ezera said.

The planned crusade comes after a similar programme organised by FOTIA Network International in Kaduna in 2025, which the organisers said attracted about 25,000 people.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Gombe State, Rev Fr Joseph Alphonsus Shinga, has urged Christians in the state to support and participate in the programme.

Shinga said the crusade presented an opportunity for Christians to witness what he described as a divine visitation.

He added, “While I welcome the Man of God and his team to Gombe, I call on all Christians to avail themselves of this divine visitation. Our support and cooperation will glorify God more and more.”
