“Did you cry hot tears when they told you to pack your load?’ — Isbae U asks Obasanjo

Nigerian content creator Isbae U and former President Olusegun Obasanjo exchanged playful but sharp banter during an interview.

The content creator featured the ex president in his “Curiosity Made Me Ask” with the conversation moving from jokes about Obasanjo’s appearance to references to his military background and time as president.

The exchange began when Obasanjo commented on Isbae U’s hairstyle.

Obasanjo: “For my part of the world in the village where I come from, na woman dey make hair like you make your hair.”

Isbae U quickly responded with a joke about Obasanjo’s baldness.

Isbae U: “Maybe if you had hair, you would have made your own…”

Obasanjo accepted the joke, removing his cap as he replied:

Obasanjo: “Maybe you’re right.”

Before the interview began, Isbae U asked the former president how he preferred to be addressed.

Isbae U: “Before we start, will you like me to call you Olusegun or Baba Iyabo?”

Obasanjo: “Which one do you prefer?”

When Isbae U suggested “Seggey,” Obasanjo jokingly warned him against using the nickname.

Isbae U: “Seggey.”

Obasanjo: “Call me that and you’ll see what I’ll do to you.”

Isbae U then challenged the former military officer, insisting that he was a grown man who could not be ordered around.

Isbae U: “You can’t tell me what to do, I’m a grown man.”

Obasanjo responded by pointing to his military rank.

Obasanjo: “I get rank. I’m a general.”

The exchange escalated into more playful bravado, with Isbae U claiming he could take on the former general one-on-one.

Isbae U: “I think you’re the first soldier I can take one on one.”

Obasanjo immediately took up the challenge.

Obasanjo: “Do you want to take me one on one right now?”

Isbae U then delivered a pointed political joke, referencing Obasanjo’s departure from office after eight years as president.

Isbae U: “Did you cry hot tears when they told you to pack your load from the Aso Rock after I fed you for 8 years?”

The exchange ended with Obasanjo offering no immediate response to the remark, leaving the moment hanging.
