2027: Sanwo-Olu Says Tinubu’s Re-Election Is Crucial To Lagos’ Growth » Apples Bite Int’l Magazine

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has called on residents of the state to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 presidential election.

Sanwo-Olu said Tinubu deserved another term in office because of what he described as the President’s achievements in Lagos and other parts of the country.

The governor made the statement on Thursday during a meeting with traditional rulers and political leaders from the Ikorodu Division at the palace of the Paramount Ruler of Ikorodu Division and Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Shotobi.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, Lagos APC Chairman Cornelious Ojelabi, APC leaders, members of the Governance Advisory Council, traditional rulers, political leaders and other government officials.

According to him, Tinubu’s leadership has contributed to the development recorded in Lagos and should therefore be supported for another term.

He also pledged to support Hamzat’s bid to succeed him as governor of Lagos State.

Sanwo-Olu said, “I will work for the victory of Dr Obafemi Hamzat as my successor. Let us get him elected as the next governor of Lagos State.”

Hamzat also appealed to traditional rulers, APC members, political leaders and residents of Ikorodu to actively participate in the 2027 elections and vote for all APC candidates.

He described Tinubu’s re-election as important for sustaining the administration’s reforms and development programmes, while commending the President’s experience and leadership.
