Wike Is Immature, Needs Urgent Medical Attention – Bode George

Elder statesman and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Bode George, has launched a blistering attack on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, describing him as someone who “needs to be immediately taken to a psychiatric hospital” over allegations surrounding his Abuja residence.

George was responding to Wike’s claim that his Abuja house was acquired with funds belonging to Rivers State.

He dismissed the allegation as false and insisted he bought the property from a private owner through an agent.

“My house in Abuja was bought with funds from Rivers? How? The house was built by someone else.

I bought it, and it is still there,” George said, adding that he would institute legal action against the minister over the allegation.

The PDP Board of Trustees member said it was beneath his dignity to engage Wike in a public exchange, describing him as “a child” compared to his age and political experience.

He also accused the minister of making reckless statements and alleged, without providing evidence, that Wike spends millions of naira weekly to secure media coverage.

The interviewer noted that the claim could not be independently verified.

George further urged President Bola Tinubu to distance himself from what he described as “attack dogs,” arguing that the President did not need individuals who thrive on insulting political opponents and senior citizens.

On national politics, the PDP chieftain maintained that the party’s internal crisis was far from over despite the publication of a presidential candidate by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), insisting that the matter remained before the courts.

He also reiterated his support for former President Goodluck Jonathan, saying the former Nigerian leader had the experience and temperament to govern the country again if he eventually emerged as the PDP’s candidate.

George said he would rather abstain from voting than participate in an election in which, according to him, his party was denied a fair opportunity to contest.
