WAFU B U-20 Championship: Flying Eagles fall to Burkina Faso in final group game

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles lost 2-0 to Burkina Faso in their last group game at the WAFU B U-20 Championship on Sunday.
Alassane Bagayogo and Mohamed Zongo scored for the Young Stallions in the first half.
The Flying Eagles finished second in Group B with six points from three games.
Burkina Faso top the standings having amassed seven points from the same number of matches.
Nigeria will face hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the semi-finals, while Burkina Faso will take on Niger Republic.
The two finalists will qualify for the 2027 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
