Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a suspected terrorist informant during an intelligence-led operation in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

The suspect, identified as Alhaji Sule Bako, was arrested on Wednesday in Dzangola Kilba by troops of the 232 Battalion (Tactical) under Operation Desert Sanity V, according to security sources.

The sources said the operation was carried out following credible intelligence alleging that the suspect had been sharing information with terrorist elements operating in the area.

He was arrested without resistance and is currently in military custody, where he is undergoing preliminary interrogation and further investigation to determine the extent of his alleged links to terrorist networks.

Security sources said the arrest is part of ongoing intelligence-driven operations by Operation Hadin Kai to dismantle terrorist support networks, including informants, logistics suppliers and other collaborators, across the North-East.

The military has continued to intensify both offensive and intelligence operations aimed at disrupting insurgent activities and cutting off local support structures used by terrorist groups in the region.
