President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has welcomed the rescue of 308 people abducted in Kwara and Niger states, praising security agencies for what he described as their intelligence, courage and coordinated efforts in securing the victims’ freedom.
In a statement on Thursday, the President said the successful operation underscored the commitment of Nigeria’s security forces to protecting lives and restoring peace.
“I commend our security agencies for the intelligence, courage and coordination that made this operation possible,” Tinubu said.
The President disclosed that he had directed the security agencies to strengthen early-warning systems, deepen community intelligence and improve rapid response capabilities across the country to prevent future attacks.
“We will continue to pursue those who threaten our people and do everything necessary to keep every Nigerian community safe.
There will be no hiding place for terrorists in Nigeria,” he said.
Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to tackling insecurity and expressed confidence in the country’s future, declaring: “Nigeria will succeed.”
