“She’ll think twice before billing me again”

A Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after sharing how he responded after a lady he previously asked out reached out to him for ₦20,000.

The man, identified on Twitter as @GloriousGod01, said the woman had rejected his romantic advances about two months earlier but offered to remain friends with him.

According to him, she later contacted him seeking financial assistance, but he decided to ask her to work for the money instead.

‘She Said No but Offered Friendship’ – Man Reveals

The man said he had asked the lady out about two months ago, but she turned him down.

“About 2 months ago, I asked a lady out. She said no but offered friendship instead.”

He said the woman contacted him the previous day to ask for ₦20,000 and appeared desperate for the money.

“Yesterday she texted begging for 20,000 naira. I could see how desperate she was.”

He Asked Her to Work for the Money

Rather than simply send the money, the man said he offered her an opportunity to earn it.

“I told her to come and work for it. She did not hesitate.”

However, he said the woman’s reaction changed when he brought out clothes for her to wash.

“The moment I brought out my clothes for her to wash, her face dropped. She agreed anyway but asked me to put on the generator so she could use the washing machine.”

Lady Washes Clothes by Hand

The man said he told her that using the washing machine would mean deducting ₦3,000 from the ₦20,000 to cover the cost of fuel.

“I told her that if she was going to use the washing machine, I would deduct 3,000 naira from the 20,000 naira for fuel.”

“She refused and washed them by hand.”

‘I Still Gave Her the ₦20,000’

The man noted that his regular dry cleaner would have charged him ₦5,000 for the same task.

“My dry cleaner would have charged me 5,000 naira for the same job.”

Despite this, he said he gave the woman the full ₦20,000 she had initially requested.

“But I gave her the 20,000 naira she requested.”

‘You Didn’t Regard Me’

The man said the woman reacted with disappointment after receiving the money.

“The moment the alert dropped, she said ‘Chaiii Glorious, you didn’t regard me even in the least.’”

“I just smiled and watched her leave.”

“At least she will think twice before billing me again.”
