Odunfa Caucus Appreciates Senator Yayi for Support During Ogogo’s Burial

The Odunfa Caucus of Lagos, a prominent group within the Yoruba movie industry, has appreciated the Ogun State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, for his support during the burial of late veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.

The caucus expressed its appreciation on Monday in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State, during the Fidau prayer and burial rites for the late actor.

In a post shared by the Ogun State APC on its official X account, the group thanked Senator Yayi for standing with Ogogo’s family, colleagues and loved ones during the difficult period following the actor’s death.

“Today in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government, the Odunfa Caucus of Lagos, a strong force in the Yoruba movie industry, expressed its appreciation to Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) for his support during the Fidau prayer and burial of the late Alhaji Taiwo Hassan Ogogo,” the party said.

The group also offered prayers for Adeola, asking Almighty God to continue to strengthen, guide and bless him for his support and concern towards the bereaved family.

“It was a touching moment as members of the Odunfa Caucus acknowledged the Senator’s gesture and prayed for continued success in his endeavours,” the statement added.

The caucus further prayed for continued blessings on everyone who supported Ogogo’s family during the period of mourning.

Ogogo, a veteran actor and prominent figure in the Yoruba film industry, was buried in Ilaro on Monday in accordance with Islamic rites, with several Nollywood stars and industry stakeholders present to pay their final respects.
