I Won’t Stop Flaunting My Wealth, Dino Melaye Reacts To Criticism Of Lavish Lifestyle

Former Senator from Kogi State, Dino Melaye has sparked fresh controversy after defending his decision to publicly display his wealth, insisting that criticism from Nigerians will not stop him from sharing pictures of his luxurious lifestyle on social media.

Melaye made the remarks during an interview with KAA Truths, where he addressed criticism from Nigerians who have accused him of flaunting his wealth at a time when many citizens are struggling with rising living costs and economic hardship.

The former lawmaker, however, made it clear that he has no plans to change his lifestyle because of public opinion.

According to Melaye, he does not allow social media criticism to affect his decisions, adding that he does not even read comments about him online.

“I don’t care whether anybody likes it or not. It doesn’t bother me. I don’t read comments, so I don’t feel perturbed, I don’t get disturbed. That won’t stop me from posting the next picture,” he said.

His comments have reignited the debate over the controversial culture of displaying wealth on social media, particularly by prominent Nigerians and former public officials.

Melaye was asked whether he believed Nigerians living in poverty were sometimes too critical of wealthy people who openly flaunted their possessions.
