In the clip, the prophet is seen holding a phone to his ear, appearing to relay questions and receive answers on behalf of a congregant, presenting it as a direct line to the divine.
The scene closely mirrors a widely publicized 2017 incident involving Zimbabwean pastor Paul Sanyangore, who claimed to possess “God’s phone number” and staged similar on-camera calls during services at his church.
Religious commentators and observers who scrutinized the earlier viral version noted that the behavior closely resembled cold-reading and earpiece-assisted techniques historically used by discredited televangelists, rather than any verifiable supernatural event.
Similar stunts, including a Kenyan prophet showing an alleged WhatsApp chat with God, have continued to surface and spread widely despite repeated skepticism from both religious and secular commentators.
