The Kaduna State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to providing accessible, affordable, and quality education, charging the newly inaugurated Governing Council of Kaduna State University (KASU) to provide visionary leadership that will strengthen the institution and enhance academic excellence.
Speaking on behalf of Governor Senator Uba Sani during the inauguration of the council at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, said the administration remains committed to investing in schools, teachers, skills development, innovation, and higher education as part of its broader human capital development agenda.
She described KASU as a strategic institution where future doctors, engineers, teachers, entrepreneurs, researchers, public servants, and other leaders acquire the knowledge and values needed to build a stronger Kaduna State and a more prosperous Nigeria.
The deputy governor urged members of the Governing Council to provide strategic direction, uphold the highest standards of integrity and accountability, safeguard academic excellence, strengthen the university’s financial sustainability, and support the management in creating an environment where teaching, research, innovation, and character formation can thrive.
