Nigerian content creator Emmanuel Obruste, popularly known as Geh Geh, has denied that videos circulating online showing him marrying a woman named Mary in Niger State are genuine, claiming instead that the footage was AI-generated.
The videos, which surfaced on Saturday, July 25, showed a man resembling Geh Geh dressed in traditional attire alongside a bride during what appeared to be a wedding ceremony, dancing, cutting a cake, and posing for photographs with guests.
The clips spread rapidly, drawing particular attention given Geh Geh’s public persona as a self-described financial expert who has repeatedly advised men against marriage, often citing its financial costs, while publicly discussing his life with four “baby mamas.”
Geh Geh has pushed back against the videos, posting that the footage was artificially generated and urging fans to look for inconsistencies such as unnatural dance movements.
Some supporters have echoed this, pointing to what they describe as mismatched location details and odd physical movements in the clips.
However, several Nigerian entertainment outlets ran the story as a genuine, if secret, wedding, with some fans noting the timing coincided suspiciously with a previous joke Geh Geh had made, that if Nigerians ever saw him married, it would be because a woman had used “juju” on him.
