Transfer Updates: Diomande, Curtis Jones, Mount, Harry Kane, Lewandowski, Others
Paris Saint-Germain have emerged ahead of Liverpool and Real Madrid in the race for Yan Diomande. The Athletic reports the 19-year-old Ivory Coast winger has decided the French champions are his preferred destination should he leave RB Leipzig in this summer transfer window.
Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount has been offered to AC Milan as part of a potential reunion with former manager Ruben Amorim, according to MilanPress. However, the Manchester Evening News reports there has been no contact between the two clubs over a possible transfer move for the 27-year-old England international.
Chelsea are searching for a replacement for Marc Cucurella following the Spaniard’s move to Real Madrid. Marca reports the Blues have identified Rayo Vallecano left-back Pep Chavarría as their preferred target and have already opened discussions over a deal for the 28-year-old.
Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones is attracting transfer interest from Nottingham Forest. Talksport claims Forest have made an enquiry for the 25-year-old England international, although the Reds are demanding around £40m. The same valuation has also complicated Inter Milan’s attempts to sign Jones.
Arsenal are planning further additions before the transfer window closes. The Daily Star reports the Premier League champions want to sign five more players, with Leicester City’s 16-year-old winger Jeremy Monga among their priority targets.
Monaco midfielder Maghnes Akliouche has informed both Liverpool and Manchester United that his preferred destination is Paris Saint-Germain. Teamtalk reports the French midfielder wants to remain in Ligue 1 if he leaves Monaco this summer.
Newcastle United are yet to receive any formal approach for Bruno Guimarães despite reports linking the Brazil midfielder with Arsenal. The Chronicle says no official bid has been submitted for the 28-year-old.
Aston Villa are trailing Leeds United in the race for Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki. Calciomercato reports the Championship club currently lead the chase for the 23-year-old Japan international.
Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto is closing in on a move to Manchester City. Foot Mercato claims the France international has agreed personal terms as he looks to reunite with former manager Enzo Maresca.
Sunderland midfielder Granit Xhaka is reportedly driving a move to Chelsea. Fabrizio Romano says the 33-year-old Switzerland international has already agreed personal terms and is keen to return to London to work again with Xabi Alonso, having previously played under him at Bayer Leverkusen.
Juventus have also added Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez to their summer shortlist. Tuttomercatoweb reports the Argentina international is among the Serie A club’s leading goalkeeping targets.
Elsewhere, Barcelona are considering a move for Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane. The Daily Mail reports the Catalan club are preparing to explore a deal for the 32-year-old England captain after the World Cup, although Kane is not actively seeking an exit from Germany.
Barcelona continue to assess alternative attacking options. Diario Sport claims Bournemouth forward Junior Kroupi remains on their shortlist if a move for Atletico Madrid striker Julián Álvarez proves difficult, while Mundo Deportivo reports Juventus forward Dušan Vlahović could arrive on a free transfer if Ferran Torres departs.
Former Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski is also nearing a new chapter in his career. ESPN reports the Poland international is finalising a move to Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are monitoring FC Cologne winger Said El Mala as they plan for the future. Nicolo Schira reports the 19-year-old is viewed as a possible long-term successor to Mohamed Salah after Paris Saint-Germain moved closer to signing Yan Diomande.
Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is attracting growing interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan. Diario AS claims the Spanish giants would consider selling the France international for around €60m, with the 23-year-old expected to discuss his future with manager José Mourinho before any decision is made.
