FULANI ETHNIC MILITIA REPORTEDLY MOVING IN LARGE NUMBERS AGAIN IN KARIM LAMIDO, TARABA STATE

SECURITY ALERT: KARIM LAMIDO LGA, TARABA STATE | NOVEMBER 4, 2026
Security sources have reported renewed movements of armed Fulani ethnic militia members in large numbers around Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State this morning, raising fears of further attacks on vulnerable communities.
The reported movements come amid heightened insecurity following recent attacks 3rd October 2026 on Kuka Sarkin Yamma, Jebjeb and Ruwan Zafi, coming barely a week after the deadly massacre in Binnari village.
During the latest attacks, more than 15 people were reportedly abducted at Kuka Sarkin Yamma. A soldier and a local hunter were killed during a pursuit operation, while five abductees — two men and three women — were rescued.
At Ruwan Zafi, a pregnant woman was killed, while several other residents were abducted.
The latest intelligence concerning renewed militia movements has heightened concerns that additional communities could come under attack. However, the reported movements and any specific plans for further assaults have not yet been independently verified by TruthNigeria.
