Navy recovers 114,500 litres of petroleum products, arrests 10 drug suspects

Five persons have been arrested in connection with the abduction of 20 National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, members in Imo State.
According to TVC, the suspects were arrested through a joint operation by the military, the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Police Force.
The 20 abducted corps members recently regained their freedom after spending some days in captivity.
The victims were abducted while travelling through the state, prompting security agencies to launch an operation to locate and rescue them.
TVC reports that a security source described the arrests as a major relief, noting that security agencies had sustained a wide-ranging manhunt for the abductors.
“This is a huge sigh of relief. Security agencies have been on a manhunt for the abductors, and we are elated that they have been captured.
“We strongly believe they will be charged to court by DSS and the corps members will get justice,” the source said.
