Thirty Prado Jeeps is the line in the approved estimates, lodged under the Ministry of Finance: “30 Prado Jeeps,” approved 2026 figure N7.5 billion. The arithmetic done by SecretsReporters puts N250 million for a jeep. Checks made to identify if the vehicles have been purchased met brick wall as the official document that is meant to state such refused to disclose it. No supplier is named for any vehicle line in the official documents, not for the Prados and not for anything that follows.

There is more as sixty Toyota Hilux, also under the Ministry of Finance, approved at N5 billion which is about N83.3 million a pickup will also be purchased. And here the quarterly records do show movement: N2,621,655,300 actually released in Q1 alone. 52.4% of the entire year’s provision, spent in a single quarter. Over half the year’s Hilux money was gone before April, and the records still will not tell you who sold them.

The Assembly got its own lane. N4.6 billion approved for a “Vehicle for 25 Honourable Members” which is N184 million per member’s vehicle under the State House of Assembly. And one more line, same house: “Purchase of Armored Security Vehicle for Mr. Speaker,” at N1 billion for a “Hope and Growth” the budget was christened with.
