The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has praised the Mountain Top Chorale for its achievement at the World Choir Games, following the group’s return to Nigeria with two gold medals.

Sanwo-Olu spoke at a homecoming and thanksgiving dinner held on September 13 in honour of the chorale by the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries.

In a video shared on Instagram on Saturday by the General Overseer of MFM, the governor expressed pride in the choir’s achievement and commended the church for nurturing talents.

“I want to say how truly proud I am to the headquarters of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, to the place where the children of God are doing wonders,” he said.

The governor also thanked the church for hosting the event, saying he was delighted to be part of the celebration.

“I want to thank you very, very much. I want to thank my daddy in the Lord,” Sanwo-Olu said, adding that he had sent the cleric a message about the celebration.

“You don’t know what you are missing. We are having a wonderful time here this evening,” he added.

The Mountain Top Chorale returned from the World Choir Games as champions, winning two gold medals at the international competition, an achievement celebrated by the church and its guests at the thanksgiving dinner.

The event was attended by Sanwo-Olu’s wife, Dr Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, and featured musical performances and thanksgiving for the choir’s accomplishment.
