Transfer: Martinelli becomes Arsenal most expensive sale after Al Hilal move is confirmed

Gabriel Martinelli has now become Arsenal’s most expensive sale, after his €70 million move to Al Hilal was confirmed on Thursday.
The Gunners have also included a sell-on clause as part of the agreement with the Saudi Pro League side.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, wrote on X: “Gabriel Martinelli joins Al Hilal on €70m package deal from Arsenal.
“Record sale for #AFC with also a sell-on clause secured as part of the agreement.
“The exclusive story on Martinelli added as part of Hilal list, now reality.”
Previously, Arsenal sold Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool for £35 million in 2017 and Nicolas Anelka to Real Madrid for €35 million in 2000.
