Reno Omokri Explains Tinubu’s Missing Primary, Secondary School Certificates » Apples Bite Int’l Magazine

Former presidential aide and Ambassador-designate to Mexico, Reno Omokri, has defended President Bola Tinubu over questions surrounding the absence of conventional primary and secondary school certificates linked to his early education.
Omokri explained that the education system during Tinubu’s childhood was different from what is obtainable today, noting that many Nigerians at the time were educated through homeschooling rather than attending regular schools.
He made the remarks during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where he dismissed concerns over the President’s early educational records.
According to Omokri, critics should consider the circumstances surrounding education during Tinubu’s generation before questioning the absence of primary and secondary school certificates.
He also challenged opponents of the President to provide the names or records of their own primary school classmates, arguing that such records may not be readily available for many people of that generation.
Omokri further cited his family as an example, saying one of his children is homeschooled and that his Ethiopian wife also received her education through homeschooling.
The former presidential aide maintained that the questions surrounding Tinubu’s early education do not affect his eligibility to remain President or seek re-election in 2027.
He also referred to Tinubu’s tertiary education at Chicago State University, stating that the university’s registrar testified in court and confirmed that Tinubu was admitted, attended the institution and graduated.
Omokri therefore argued that the confirmation of Tinubu’s university education was sufficient to establish his qualification for the presidency.
