Pan-Atlantic University has announced the death of its pioneer Vice-Chancellor and Founding Dean of Lagos Business School, Prof. Albert Alos, who died on September 5, 2026, at the age of 87.

The university announced his death in a statement issued by its Communications Unit on Monday, describing Prof. Alos as a distinguished educator and institution builder whose contributions helped shape the development of the university and the Lagos Business School.

The institution described the late academic as a visionary educator and scholar whose leadership and commitment to academic excellence influenced generations of students, academics and professionals.

The university commended Prof. Alos for his leadership, wisdom and dedication to education, as well as his contributions to higher education and the development of leaders serving Nigeria, Africa and the wider world.
