Kamo’s mother breaks silence on Funke Akindele’s absence from movie premiere, speaks on their alleged fallout

The mother of Nigerian skit maker and actor, Kamo State has addressed the speculation surrounding Funke Akindele’s absence from her son’s movie premiere, insisting that the actress remains very close to him.

Speaking during a recent interview, the filmmaker’s mother explained that Funke has consistently supported Kamo and was only unable to attend the premiere because she was not around at the time.

According to her, Funke was fully aware of everything concerning Kamo’s new movie and its premiere, adding that the relationship between the actress and her son remains intact.

“Funke Akindele is always supporting my son. She has never for once not supported him; it’s just because she wasn’t around. She knows everything going on with Kamo’s new movie and the premiere,” she stated:

Kamo’s mother further revealed that her son still visits Funke’s home while the actress also visits him, claiming that they speak on the phone regularly.

She added that there was nothing Kamo did concerning the movie that Funke was unaware of, stressing that Nigerians should not read meanings into her absence from the premiere.

“My son and Funke are still very close, and their relationship is still very much intact. He still goes to her house, and she always comes to his house. They always talk 24/7 on the phone,” she added.

She also noted that Funke has her own movie project to focus on and had already discussed her absence from the premiere with Kamo while supporting him.

Kamo’s mother urged Nigerians to stop speculating about their relationship, insisting that Funke and her son remain close despite her absence from the event.
