The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Adeola, has revealed that he had planned to appoint late Nollywood actor Alhaji Taiwo Babatunde Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, as his Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism if elected governor of the state.

Adeola disclosed this during a condolence visit to the family of the late actor, where he described Ogogo as an icon who made significant contributions to promoting the image of Ogun State and Nigeria through his acting career.

“I had already planned to appoint Ogogo as my Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism with full cabinet rank if I were eventually elected as the Governor of Ogun State.

“Ogogo was not just an icon affiliated with Ilaro, but an ambassador who elevated the image of the entire Ogun State and Nigeria through his craft.

“Death was cruel for taking Ogogo away from Yewaland, Ogun State, and Nigeria as a whole. He was scheduled to be taken to India for advanced medical treatment.
