Grammy-winning Nigerian artiste Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has taken delivery of a customised Bugatti Chiron VXX, a one-of-a-kind hypercar created by Dubai-based luxury car customisation company, Venuum.

The vehicle, reportedly valued at about ₦9 billion, was unveiled during a ceremony captured in a video shared by Venuum on its Instagram page on Saturday.

The video showed two presenters unveiling the black-covered vehicle as Burna Boy watched the ceremony.

The customised Bugatti features a French Racing Blue front fascia, the signature horseshoe grille with a prominent yellow number 7 and a centre racing stripe designed in the French tricolour.

Its interior also comes with customised blue sport seats, yellow contrast stitching and a gold-threaded grid design.

In the statement accompanying the video, Venuum said, “Today, Lagos welcomes something truly unique

“We’re proud to see @burnaboygram receive his one-of-a-kind Bugatti Chiron VXX — a piece created to stand apart, built with character, presence and an unmistakable identity.

“We wish you nothing but the best, Burna. We hope you enjoy every moment with this machine as much as we enjoyed bringing this vision to life.

“From Dubai to Lagos. A unique creation for a unique artist. Welcome to the VXX experience.”

PUNCH Online had reported in May that Venuum announced plans to develop a bespoke carbon-fibre widebody kit for Burna Boy’s Bugatti Chiron.

The company described the project as the world’s first widebody Bugatti Chiron, saying it was being developed as a one-of-one project for the Nigerian singer.

The reported ₦9 billion valuation has also been cited by Abuja Car, the dealership involved in the vehicle’s sale, although the exact purchase price has not been independently confirmed.

Burna Boy had previously teased his interest in a customised model, saying he wanted a “Bugatti Venuum Chiron, something one of one.”

The Chiron VXX is the latest addition to Burna Boy’s collection of luxury vehicles, which includes a Lamborghini Revuelto and a Rolls-Royce Spectre.

According to a listing on Bugatti’s website, the basic price of the standard 2020 Bugatti Chiron is US$2.998m, approximately N3.99bn, including shipping, duties, taxes and charges.

The customised Chiron VXX therefore carries a significantly higher reported valuation than the standard 2020 Chiron.
